The transition from college to facing the world is overwhelming for most students. For Aidan Gomes, a senior at The University of Nevada, Reno majoring in engineering graduation is only a stepping stone. Already signed to the United States Navy as an Officer, Gomes prepares to ship out to the east coast shortly after commencement. As an engineering major balancing a heavy course load is a full time job within itself. For Gomes discipline and routine is the secret to keeping a balanced lifestyle. Gomes trains with Nevada Boxing spending hours a week on technique and conditioning. As Gomes faces his last two semesters, he is tied down with midterms, finals, and long nights of studying. However Gomes finds moments to step away from the pressure whether it’s visiting with family or going to church.
